For the sixth year in a row, dapperQ, the queer digital style magazine dedicated to “ungendering fashion,” hosted one of the most eye-catching and innovative runway parties of New York Fashion Week.
The September 5 event, titled “Pursuit,” drew a packed crowd to the Beaux-Arts Court at the Brooklyn Museum. The 10 designers represented were TomboyX, Cilium, Landeros New York, Shane Ave., a Sydney, Australia-based designer, Stuzo Clothing, Claire Fleury, Travis Oestreich, Devonation, Halz NYC, and Sharpe Suiting.
Each of the designers designs their mission in slightly different ways, emphasizing their fashions for lesbians, transgender and non-binary folks, and gender-fluid customers.
Anita Dolce Vita is the founder, editor-in-chief of dapperQ, and the event was produced by the magazine’s Hutch Hutchison.
The evening was emceed by “Pose” star B. Hawk Snipes.
